The role of your municipal councillor is to ensure services provided by the municipality meet your needs. Along with representing you, your elected officials take decisions on the orientations and the priorities of the municipality. The municipal council takes decisions on matters of economic development, sustainable development, city planning, providing drinking water, sewage treatment as well on recreational, leisure and cultural activities. Your elected officials also participate in the administration of the city by sitting on various committees, commissions and authorities. |
