Public Notices

Various laws that apply to municipalities require that some actions taken by the Municipal Council, and having a legal or official impact, must be the subject of a public notice.

In order to meet the requirements of the law the adoption of bylaws or proposals, the filing of financial statements and several other council decisions that it has not yet officially approved must, in fact, first be the subject of a notice to the public through the municipality web site.  These notices may appear on the municipality’s web site but, for some time,  they must be published in a newspaper distributed in the municipality.
