John Louis Moisan

John Louis Moisan

John Louis Moisan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and he was very young when his family moved to Montreal. He has been married to Barbara for 46 years and they have two children, Kimberley and Kevin. They moved to Châteauguay in 1967. 

John played baseball in the Montreal Little League from 1951 to 1953 and in 1954 he became involved at the organizational level. 

He has been very influential through his involvement in the Châteauguay Little League. He held the position of President from 1969 to 1984 and Vice-president from 1984 to 1988. He then moved to Ontario for work where he continued his involvement in baseball at the provincial and national level; holding the posts of director of districts and Vice-president of Little League Canada. He was also President of the Little League Foundation. 

 

During his time in Châteauguay he was involved with the Châteauguay Lions Club, Châteauguay Minor Hockey and Châteauguay Minor Football Association.

Retired from Canadian Pacific in 1996, John Louis Moisan is a man devoted to his community and the City of Châteauguay is extremely proud to have been able to count on his generosity.
