Born in Verdun in 1948 and a resident of Châteauguay since 1950, Hélène Raymond-Amyot holds a bachelors degree in visual arts and a masters in art history from the Université du Québec in Montréal. 

A prolific visual artist, she has had regular exhibitions of her work and won many prizes and honours. Recognized for her books on art, and a communicator at heart, she speaks at conferences, holds demonstrations of mixed media and is an innovative painting teacher with art history concepts. 

As an author, in 2003 she published “Mon odyssée péruvienne” which told of her love story with Peru, a work that she illustrated with sketches. In 2006, she published “Écrire en couleurs… Eau fil du temps” a work that combines stories, poetic reflections and engravings.

A member of the Rassemblement des Artistes en Arts visuels (RAAV), the Conseil montérégien de la culture et des communications (CMCC) and the Association des auteurs de la Montérégie (AAM), her combined talents as artist and communicator make Hélène Raymond-Amyot, a remarkable figure on the Châteauguay cultural landscape.
