Outdoor rinks are in excellent conditions for Spring Break

Saturday, 2 March, 2019

As Spring Break week approaches, rarely at this time of year the rinks of Châteauguay have been in such good conditions. Since temperature is expected to remain below zero for several days according to the latest weather forecasts, this perfect situation should continue until the end of Spring Break!

The City invites the population to take advantage of the many sites, which will have extended opening hours from Monday, March 4 to Friday, March 8. During this period, the Agora ice rink will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., while the rinks of H.S. Billings, Marcel-Seers, Oliver and Sutterlin parks will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, all rinks will close at 10 p.m.

Spring Break is one of the last opportunities to enjoy outdoor skating before spring melting. In previous winters, ice rinks had to be closed before the start of the holiday because of the mild temperatures.

To see the list of locations, facilities and updates on ice conditions, including sites maintained by volunteer teams, visit our website at www.ville.chateauguay.qc.ca/en/patinoires-2018-2019. Any changes to rink conditions will also be posted on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Chateauguay.
