Floats near Laberge Bridge

Tuesday, 17 April, 2012

People using Arthur-Laberge Bridge as well as residents living nearby have noticed in recent days buoys in the river.

Gaz Metropolitain, which is considering passing a pipe under the riverbed, mandated Biofilla to identify locations of spawning fish. This operation required by the ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement et des Parcs du Québec, aims to identify the best location to minimize impact on fish habitat. The buoys will be there for another few weeks.
