Châteauguay–Lachine Shuttle Boat Season starts Saturday, June 16, 2012

Wednesday, 13 June, 2012

The Châteauguay-Lachine shuttle-boat comes into service on Saturday, June 16, 2012 and offers four departures every Saturday and Sunday during the summer until September 9, also on September 3, Labour Day. It takes approximately 60 minutes to cross Lake Saint-Louis.

Pedestrians, cyclists, roller-bladers, history buffs and others can simply present themselves at the wharf located on Saint-Bernard island in Châteauguay, near the Pavillon de l’île, 480 boulevard D’Youville, at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., in order to discover, or to re-discover, the many attractions of Lachine...

It is also a great way to have family and friends come to visit to taste the true nature of Châteauguay, by coming to enjoy activities at the nautical centre, a hike or bicycle ride... Or even the unforgettable experience of the Marguerite-d’Youville wildlife refuge and the many activities offered by the Héritage Saint-Bernard organization (450.698.3133 or www.heritagestbernard.qc.ca). The wharf in Lachine is located at the end of René-Lévesque Park, near the locks. Departures are at 8:45 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.

Places are limited, so you should arrive early since there is no reservation for the crossing, however, it is a good idea to reserve your return space. The cost of a one-way trip is free for children from 0 to 5 years of age, $5 for the 6 to 12 year-old children and $9 for adults. A family of two adults and two children from 0 to 12 years of age will pay $23.
