New Visual Identity and Dedicated Facebook Page for the Bibliothèque Raymond-Laberge

Monday, 13 July, 2020

Ville de Châteauguay is pleased to unveil today the new visual identity for the Bibliothèque Raymond-Laberge, which was officially renamed last year.

To clearly mark this new chapter in the life of this important cultural and social institution, the City wanted to come up with a strong image that represents library users and attests to the sense of belonging they feel toward this warm, open, welcoming place.

The lines of the logo form two books piled up to form an abstract, minimalist B, for Bibliothèque, R, for Raymond, and L, for Laberge. The colours blue and turquoise echo Châteauguay’s other graphic elements. The logo can also be interpreted as a book on top of a laptop, symbolizing the combination of print and technology and, by extension, all the many and varied services the library offers.

Dedicated Facebook Page

A new Facebook page dedicated to the library’s services and activities has also been online for a few days. Like some of the city’s other services, such as the Centre nautique, Château Scènes and Activ’Été, the Facebook page will allow users and anyone interested in the library’s services to stay informed about the latest news and initiatives. Information will also be more readily accessible: facebook.com/BibliothequeRaymondLaberge. Feel free to subscribe so you don’t miss anything!

About the Library

The Bibliothèque Raymond-Laberge is a place for accessing information, documents and culture, a space for meeting and exchange, a place to learn and develop knowledge and skills, and a place to discover and master technology. With an extensive and diverse collection (books, ebooks, magazines, audio books, CDs, DVDs, language courses, parlour games, etc.) and a wide range of activities and programs for young and old alike, the Bibliothèque Raymond-Laberge is an important hub for the community.
