Châteauguay . . . A Spooky Story!

Friday, October 26 to Wednesday, October 31, 2018

Châteauguay, October 1, 2018 – From Friday, October 26 to Wednesday, October 31, Châteauguay will celebrate Halloween by holding many free activities, for both families and informed adults!

Friday, October 26 to Saturday, October 27 - Nuit blanche Ciné d’Épouvante

From Friday, October 26, 8 p.m. to Saturday, October 27, 8 a.m., thrill seekers are invited to spend an entire night shivering and freaking out while watching the best horror films at the Centre culturel Georges-P.-Vanier. Special entertainment and treats will be provided to enhance the screening of six horror films in French with English subtitles. Prizes of a total value of $600 will be drawn. Participants must be aged 13 and over. The list of films will be available soon at www.ville.chateauguay.qc.ca/en/halloween-2018.

Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 – Haunted Agora

For a two-day period, the Agora will be transformed into an old asylum that closed more than 50 years ago following a strange occurrence. Rumour has it that the demons that terrorized the asylum patients and employees in the past have resurfaced. Are you brave enough to face them? If so, a terrifying journey awaits you. The activity is offered on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for those aged 13 and over.

Saturday, October 27 – Little Monsters’ Carnival

On Saturday, October 27 from noon to 4 p.m., come with your family to carve your pumpkin in the company of some strange but fun characters! More than 100 pumpkins are available and there are many prizes to be won! Children can also have their faces painted and watch a puppet show, Mauvais coup, the story of a mischievous little man who likes to play tricks. A guided tour will allow young children to experience the scary haunted house with ghostly phenomena and, of course, have plenty of fun!

Wednesday, October 31 in the evening – Haunted House Contest

For the fifth consecutive year, the Ville de Châteauguay challenges its residents to decorate their homes for Halloween night! Do you like to decorate for this special celebration? Sign up to receive the jury’s visit on the evening of Wednesday, October 31, in one of the categories, either the Best Decorations or the Best Staging.
