ACTIV'ÉTÉ in seduction mode!

Ville de Châteauguay is proud to launch its ACTIV’ÉTÉ RECRUTE promotional campaign, aimed to promote openings for camp counsellors at the City’s day camp.

Starting today and until March 26, video clips will be posted online and shared on the City’s various social networks, including its YouTube channel. The objective? To reach out to young people so they can hear the viewpoint of the main people involved: the camp counsellors themselves!

Why become a camp counsellor? What concerns did they have before embarking on this unique experience? How has it changed their life? Nesquick, Cheerios and several other counsellors will answer honestly and enthusiastically.

“It has become increasingly difficult to recruit camp counsellors to join the existing team and have fun with young people all summer,” explained Anik Lacelle, Day Camp Coordinator, a team member since 2006.  Working at Activ’Été is much more than just a job! In addition to the good working conditions such as the hours and salary, we are a big family and many have learned things about themselves as a result of the experience. We want to promote these jobs that can suit any type of personality.”

This is indeed what will be highlighted in the coming weeks of the campaign. Visits by counsellors to City schools are also planned.

Several positions are currently posted on the City’s website for the day camp, including camp counsellors, area managers and daycare educators. The Integration Program, whose objective is to allow a child with a disability to participate in the daily life activities of the day camp, is also recruiting summer counsellors.

For more information, please visit our website, YouTube channel and various social networking platforms, in particular, FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
