Branch Collection From October 21 to 28

Châteauguay, September 23, 2019 – Following the request of many citizens wishing to get rid of their bulky branches, a branch collection will take place from October 21 to 28 throughout the city. Spread over two weeks, it will allow residents to dispose of their branches accumulated during the winter and spring.

Citizens are asked to leave their branches at the curb at the latest on the day before the beginning of the collection, on Sunday, October 20.

REMINDER OF THE INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW

  • Branches must not be tied and must be arranged perpendicular to the curb.
  • The diameter of the branches must not exceed 4 inches (10 cm).
  • The length of the branches must not exceed 10 feet (3 m).
  • If there are felled trees or too many piles of branches, they may not be picked up.


WILL NOT BE PICKED UP

  • Stumps and logs
  • Branches with soil clods
  • Vines and yard waste 
  • Wooden boards and building materials
  • Intertwined branches
  • Felled trees and excessive quantities of branches

In the event of poor weather conditions (storms, heavy rains) or if there are very large quantities of branches to be collected, there may be a slight delay in collection.
