Châteauguay, une histoire de Noël! : Illuminated Grand Parade and Festivities

 6:45 – Starting from Saint-Joachim Church (1, D'Youville Blvd.) heading toward Bibliothèque Raymond-Laberge (25, Maple Blvd.) 

Magical fireworks show in front of the library after the arrival of the parade! 

With the special participation of the cities of Beauharnois and Mercier.

For the fourth edition of the parade, Santa Claus and his helpers promise lively festivities with a number of animated floats, circus artists, fanfares, mascots and animated characters, in addition to the participation of several local dance schools  and organizations. The celebrations start at 6 p.m. in the library parking lot and  will continue until 9:30 p.m

 

Festivities

Outdoor festivities will start at 6 p.m. in the parking of the library, until 9 p.m. 

Listen to Christmas carols sung   by vocal groups!

Watch the antics of funny   characters in costume!

Drink a free hot chocolate or   chicken stock drink (at Saint-Joachim   Church and the Bibliothèque  Raymond-Laberge). 

 

Gourmet Zone

($) The Gourmet Zone offers you the delicacies of several local artisans who will help you discover their best products: Brasserie et distillerie Champ Libre, Cabane à Churros, Les Bouchées d’Angie, Crème glacée Walker’s Ice Cream, Microbrewery Kahnawake Brewing CO, Pâtisserie La Châteauguoise, Kahnawake Brewing CO. and Bean & Bonheur – Artisan torréfacteur.

For bus routes and stops that will be changed during the parade,  visit exo.quebec/en or call 450 698-3030.

 

Informations importantes:

  • No parking at Saint-Joachim Church,  Marguerite-Bourgeois school and  City Hall during closing hours.
  • Closing of the arthur-laberge bridge from 6:15 to 8 p.m. Possible detour by Principale road and Primeau, RenéLévesque and Saint-Joseph boulevards.
  • After the reopening of the bridge,  to bypass the closure of boul. D’Anjou,  a detour will be put in place that will  take boul. Salaberry Sud, avenue de  la Verdure, rue Prince and boul.  Saint-Joseph. Another detour will be  set up for Salaberry Nord, Saint-Francis and Saint-Jean-Baptiste boulevards.
