Truck and Vehicle Tools Traffic

Wednesday, 2 November, 2011

As of Monday, November 7, 2011, trucks and tool vehicles will have to take specific arteries, clearly identified, in the territory of the city of Châteauguay.

Adopted September 19, 2011, Bylaw G-1941 on the circulation of trucks and tool vehicles in the city of Châteauguay received on October 25 the approval of the Ministry of Transportation of Québec. "The City of Châteauguay is one of the first municipalities in Québec to adopt such a regulation aimed at ensuring peace and security of its residents," says Mayor Nathalie Simon.

In addition to greater peace and greater security for all citizens, the new regulations will also ensure the sustainability of infrastructures. "Not all the streets are built to withstand the daily passage of heavy vehicles," says the Mayor.
