COVID-19: Application of the Health Emergency Decree by the SPC

Châteauguay, March 25, 2020 – The Service de police de Châteauguay (SPC) would like to issue a reminder about the application of the government decree on a state of health emergency. The SPC is asking for public co-operation with the health measures put in place by the Government of Quebec. It is important to comply with the measures imposed, which are changing from day to day. In particular, these exceptional provisions ban all indoor or outdoor gatherings without exception. Police officers have already had to intervene to enforce social distancing.

9-1-1 Call Centre Receives its Fourth Award – An Unusual Event in Quebec

The Ministère de la Sécurité Publique has confirmed the renewal of the certification of the Service de police de Châteauguay’s 9-1-1 Call Centre for a fourth consecutive year. At the time of its renewal, the Centre was the only one in the province to have obtained its certification four times in a row.

Child Car Seat Check Clinics

The social and community section of the Châteauguay Police Service currently conducts car seat checks in a few daycare centres located in the area served, namely the cities of Beauharnois, Châteauguay, Léry and Saint-Isidore.
