Every year the municipality adopts a bylaw setting out the annual rate of taxation and applicable fees for water, the rental of meters, water purification as well as for the removal of garbage and recycling collection.

Oaths

Declarations - Only for citizens of Châteauguay

The offices of the town clerk or mayor can witness your oath. You have to present yourself at the town hall, located at 5 D’Youville Boulevard, during the hours in the schedule below. The individual who is making the declaration must come and sign before the commissioner for oaths and present a proof of identity with a photo. The cost is $5 per document.

By-laws

The application of the municipal bylaws is controlled by municipal departments such as the (Public Works) Service des travaux publics, (Engineering) Service du génie, (Permits) Service des permis, Police and (Fire Security) Service de sécurité incendie. These by-laws affect every aspect of citizens' life in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors
