Measures for the collection of waste and recyclable materials

Since September 5, 2016, the European-size container with catch (see illustration) will be the only container accepted during waste collection. In addition, the volume of eligible materials will be limited to the contents of the wheeled bin.

Waste collection by the MRC de Roussillon is now automated for the collection of waste, as it is for the collection of recyclable materials.

The arrangement of the tray is important. In order for your bin to be collected, you must:

  • Orient the wheels and handle toward your home, such as your blue bin;
  • Maintain a clearance of 2 feet (60 cm) around the bin;
  • Deposit your tank and bulky before 7 am the morning of the collection.

In the winter season, the snow plow must be able to do its job.
